Drawing for the Terrified: starts 9 Sep 2022

‘Oh I so wish I could draw’  … ‘you are so lucky – I can’t draw at all’…  ‘I’ve never been able to draw – my art teacher told me that’’

Sound familiar?  It’s so frustrating, isn’t it? Well, I’ve been there … and I can help 😊

This is going to be a year long, fortnightly course, aimed to de-traumatise anyone and everyone who hears the ‘D’ word and then freezes.  We will start beautifully gently (remember you don’t start learning to read by tackling War and Peace in Chinese!). Using a variety of media, we will do lots of different exercises and play plenty of games, all focussed towards easing us into drawing – almost without you noticing. All you need to do, is either turn up, or watch the saved videos each fortnight, and follow through on my suggestions. Do that – and I will have you drawing AND enjoying it

This will absolutely nothing like any formal or art school drawing courses you may have taken before. It will be fun, focused on achieving not failing, and will enable you to find, use and celebrate your own drawing style for the rest of your life. You just need a positive attitude and a willingness to follow through with me

We will have one live stream and one video session each month. These will last approx. 60 – 90 mins. You will need to put aside that time each fortnight (although you don’t have to watch on any particular day – all videos are stored) , plus an additional hour or two each fortnight, to follow through the session ideas for yourself.  These will be delivered into a private group on Facebook, where we can also chat and share what we are doing (if you want – there is never any pressure) I will be part of the group so can answer any questions or give advice/help if needed.

Live streams and videos will be added to the group on Fridays, starting on 9^th September 2022, which will be a live session. But you can catch up and watch the sessions anytime you wish. All videos will be stored in the group, so you can revisit as often as you wish for the duration of the course
